Please help! Screen stuck on YouTube home page

I have a Bravia KD49XH950. Tried to watch youtube, but nothing happens. The page won't respond to scrolling or selecting anything with remote (the remote has fresh batteries and works fine), so I tried to exit back to TV, but the screen is stuck on YouTube home page.

I can hear the TV, but the screen is still frozen on YT. I can't exit it, and I can't access anything else. The interface is just stuck. I've tried every button on the remote and tried turning it off, but nothing is working.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I got fed up and turned the tv off and came back later and when I turned it on again, it was back to normal. Whew! I was afraid I'd miss Wimbledon. I don't know what this glitch is or why youtube won't work on my tv, but at least the basic tv function works now.

I believe that if you hold down the On/Standby button on the remote for just over five seconds, the TV will soft reset.

Try this if the TV apparently locks up again.
