XR-55A80J recording ending too soon

Hi, when recording to my USB hard drive by choosing the recording time via the Guide the recording always ends before the program has finished which is a bit of a bummer. It always starts a couple of minutes before the program starts also.

You need to set up Recording Time Extension

Click the Guide button on your remote.

Scroll all the way up to Channel 001 and then click up one more time then click left to highlight Settings/Timer List,

click then click on Timer List

The next page you see will be Recorded Title List, click once to the left and then scroll down to Settings, click right

and click on Recording time extension.

From there you can select to start recording 5 or 10 minutes before the scheduled recording is due to start.

And then you can select how long you want the recording to continue after the scheduled recording is due to finish this should take care of any programme overrunning its allocated time slot.
