Good morning,

Wondering if you can help, woke up this morning, and noticed my mic is not picking up anything at all, all was fine last night, I have had a look around on some forums, I have done a complete factory reset, updated everything but still no luck, anyone else having the same issue?

I'm really sorry to hear that! After you did a factory reset, did you reinstall your applications directly or did you try your microphone without the applications first?

I suggest that you test your microphones function in our diagnostics tool. You will find it if you go to Settings > About Phone > Support/Diagnostics. Here you can check how the microphone works outside a call.

If it works fine, I recommend that you start your phone in safe mode, just to make sure none of your downloaded applications are interacting with the function. In safe mode, all third party applications are temporarily deactivated, but you can still use basic functions like calling and text messaging, accessing the Internet and taking pictures with the camera. To exit safe mode after you tested the phone, restart it as usual.

If it's still not functioning as intended, I suggest that you do a backup using Xperia Companion and the proceed with a software repair using Xperia Companion. A Software repair will remove all software in the phone and reinstall the latest available version of the android system, so be careful and do the backup so you don't lose any important data stored on the internal storage. Data stored on a SD-card or cloud service will not be affected
