i have 2g plan bt i dont set 3g network? how to set wcdma i already set mobile network wcdma only bt no network coverage. please help me

If you have 2G only plan, try going to Settings -> More -> Mobile networks -> Preferred network type -> GSM only.

WCDMA is 3G, if you are on 2G plan then you can't access that. Either set your option to 2G only or contact your service provider to upgrade your plan.

I dunno how this happened, but you said you have a 2G plan. How do you expect to get 3G? It's all depending on what's the provider allowing.

WCDMA is a 3G technology. 2G plans will not connect to it unless by some mistake at a network level.

Hi @avin123,

I'm afraid that I can't answer for how other devices may behave in regards to network settings, but when you set a preferred network to strictly 3G/WCDMA in your Xperia XA Ultra without your carrier plan supporting it, I'm afraid that 3G will be unavailable.

If your device only supports 2G, then I would recommend setting it to 2G/GSM only, alternatively you could try setting it to 3G (preferred)/GSM. This way, it will try to use 3G if available, but revert to 2G if a 3G connection is not available.

As previous users mentioned in this thread, it would be best to get in touch with your carrier regarding your connectivity concerns. However, I would say that your device functions correctly if it only allows a 2G connection if that's the only network your carrier plan allows.

i hv other problem. i reset my xa ultra .then i dnt add google account. show the problem " there was a problem cominicating the google server please try again ?? how to solve it i hv 3g plan bt problem is not solved
