Then 3days ago it starting just jumping to different apps and going to my contacts, messages jumping to different things without me even touching it. I started it in safe mode but it wouldn't do anything. I managed rd reset it bk to factory settings. Still the same. Anyway just turned it off for a few days turned it back on this morning it was working fine but now and again it starts jumping to different screens and then even went to phone bit and started calling someone. Plz help if you no what this could be. Thanks

Hi @Bennyhx, welcome to our forum!

I am sorry to hear about your phone.

Do you have a screen protector on the phone? If you do, could you remove it and see if you experience the same behaviour?

If there is no change after removing the screen protector and you have already performed a factory reset it does sound like it's related to hardware rather than software. There is one more thing you can do before sending it in to an authorized service centre and that is performing a software repair using Xperia Companion.

A software repair will remove all data stored on the internal storage of your phone and reinstall the latest available software, since data will be removed creating a backup prior to starting with the repair is advised.

Is the phone still restarting and showing the message about the SIM card being removed? If it does, I'd recommend that you try the phone with another SIM card since a defect SIM card may cause the phone to restart.

If there is no change after completing the software repair, please get in touch with your Local support team so they can arrange a repair for you.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi it's not said anything about the sim card since its been working today also no screen protector. It seems to work OK then starts to flick on apps, messages etc then it seems to be OK but still needs to be repaired because it certainly isn't working properly. I'll try the software repair see if that does anything. Thanks

Oh, I see.

In that case, could you visit a friend, colleague or family member and use their computer to repair the software in your phone?
