FM radio noise

I sometimes listen to the FM radio which usually work fine in a good signal area, but if I should open the phone and touch the screen, the signal appears markedly reduced and noisy. There seems to be sensitivity when the screen is touched affecting the radio quality which seems very strange.

Has anyone else suffered from this issue or am I one of the very few who listens to the radio?

I have used the big sony Hi-Fi headphones and the issue of noise when touching the screeon surface still exists. Could it be the screen protector ? It also might be helpful if there were some sort of remote volume and station control like I had on my Nokia N8, then no need to touch sreen!
