SMS illumination light notification

I have updated xperia sp recently with the latest update. However, I notice that the sms only blink once and doesnt blink if im using different app for my sms. I want this to be fixed since this is working perfectly fine before the update. This is very much dissapointing because this was the feature sony has been promoting for xperia sp.

Have you tried this?

There are a few things you should try first when you experience problems with your device:

Restart
Restart your phone to turn off all running applications and to free up memory. Remove the back cover. Press and hold down the OFF button using the tip of a pen or a similar object. The device turns off automatically. After the device is turned off, restart your phone.
Update
Update your phone to ensure that you have optimal performance and the latest enhancements. Read more about how to update and find latest software version.
Reset
Reset your phone to its original settings to remove memory blocks: Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone Don't forget to back up any important data saved on your phone!

Since the update to the latest build 12.0.A.2.245 the LED notification does not work in Stamina mode anymore. If I remember right - this worked well before. For me is this a bug in the new firmware. Stamina mode means disabling mobile data if display is off. This should not affect the LED notification.

This happened to me after the update too. It used to glow in a really cool way if i had a message or missed call, then after the update if my phone was on stamina mode, you would have to check the screen for notifications because the bar stopped working. Off stamina mode it just blinked.
I found a free app on the Play market called 'Illumination Bar' that has allowed me to get back the glow effect i had before. It's worth getting if like me, the glowing bar was important to u for notifications.
I'm hoping Sony sort out the problem in an update so i wont have to use the app anymore, but im starting to doubt it will be corrected for a long time.
