Ant+ Support on Xperia M

I just bought the Xperia M, which is supposed to support Ant+, but can use it.

Ant+ Demo show the message "Ant+ not supported".

How is Ant+ activated on this phone ?

I believe the ANT+ support works over the NFC devices. Check the information at http://www.thisisant.com/news/sony-unveils-xperia-m-with-native-ant-support

I've already tried to activate NFC but I got the same message with "Ant+ Demo"

Same at me, unable to run any ANT+ application like ANT+ Demo. Tried to install ANT Radio service version 04.00 and 04.01 and the latest version but no success - every time I see

ANT not supported

How to switch it on?

Not sure, mine came preloaded with it.

But I would assume it's newer.

Can you check if your new firmware solves another problem - the reboot of phone when you run Radio FM app?

Which country is this device from?. I have not been able to find such a firmware version on the web... Is the model C1904 itself?

My model is C1905. The model is sold in Denmark.

As I don't have a coorded headset I can't test the FM reception. Will try later today.

Interesting... Sony Denmark website at -> http://www.sonymobile.com/dk/software/phones/xperia-m/ still lists 15.1.A.1.9 as latest version of firmware. I wonder how you ended up with a newer one

I have the same problem. ANT+ in my Sony Xperia M doesn't work 😕 . I bought this phone just because it has ANT+. Now I feel cheated. Is here someone from Sony Support?

Same problem here (C1905, 15.1.B.0.2), I also just bought this phone because it is the only recent smartphone with ANT+ support. But then I see "ANT+ not supported". I really would like to hear an official Sony comment regarding this issue, and how it can be fixed!

Let's hope/put pressure on Sony for a new firmware patch that may resolve the issues. I'm so fortunate it's the only issue I have with the phone. Apart from the lack of ANT+ it's working superb.

Hi all,

I gave up the waiting for new firmware with ANT+ support and bought Polar BlueTooth WearLink HRM which works with XPeria M well. It's little bit more expensiv than ANT+ HRM, but at least it WORKS! :smileysmileythumbsup:

I don't know which ANT+ devices you have tested the connection on.

But I have tested both the Heart rate, cadence sensor for my bike, and old foot pod.

All devices connects flawlessly to my Garmin FR60+310

Maybe your sensors connected flawlessly to your Garmin FR60+310 but we all others are trying to connect our Ant+ devices to our SONY XPeria M phone! Did you try this to? :smileysmileywink:
