sony epxpera e customised ringtones

can anyone help? sony experia e, i've assigned personal ringtones, when phone rings from someone i've assigned a ringtone to it only ring on standard ringtone

Backup your contacts first. http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253 You may simply backup contacts to your sim card: Contacts--menu--Backup--SIM Card. Then try clearing cache of the following apps:

1. Contacts

2. Contacts storage

3. Phone

4. Phone contacts

5. Phone/Messaging storage

It can be done at Settings--Apps--All apps--choose the apps one by one--Clear data. Then reboot. Import your contacts to your phone from sim card. Try adding specific ringtones to your contacts and see if it works.

thank you, ringtones working now. phone sometimes puts itself on silent. any idea why? thanks again for your help

Be careful of the buttons on the side of the phone. The most common cause of I see of spontaneous silent mode is when people accidentally press the volume down button for a second as this will force it into silent.
