The other most important update should be the notification. The Sony one only gives alert of incoming calls and SMSs. It is insufficient for most of users. They have to reference to "Watchit" to understand what the customers need.

Two question/observations.

After the latest update I have noticed that:

1. when my watch is charging it no longer shows the percentage left (why would you remove that?) and when I unplug it it will hang on the battery charging display until I hold the power button for 10 seconds or more....

2. when it is charger if the screen is blank and i pick it up, the display turns on. This makes me think there is an accelerometer. Is there?

Anyone else notice these things?

Thanks,

Clay

The accelerometer was there before but was removed as it consumed a lot of the battery

In the demonstration videos all you had to do was shake your wrist and the watch would light up to show the time instead of now pressing the power button to light up the face - When the watch got released some features were removed for example the shake wrist to illuminate the watch face however if you set your watch down for a few minutes then pick it up it would then illuminate as it does now with the latest update - Another feature removed was the music widget as seen probably on your watch packaging, This was removed due to pixelation issues

Actually in the demonstration videos the watch reacted to movement of any kind so I would assume that would drain the battery. But what should happen is a quick flick of the wrist should wake the display and that shouldn't drain the battery much so I'm afraid that's down to poor and lazy coding more than anything else.

This feature is essential for smart watch and Sony has been the 3rd generation in this type without catching up. They may have a reference to Motorola MotoACTV sport watch that is a good example to be learnt.
