XpE C1504, 4.1.1, 11.3.A.2.13

Recently my partners C1504 ran out of credit, lost 250$. on long life pre-paid.

Checked the carrier logs & data traffic over last 3 months confirms data use.

Checked the phone logs & most MB is playstore.

The datatraffic was disabled when I checked it (but could have been on previoius)

!! My biggest gripe is with the data button in notification screen, it does not popup a confirmation when enabled so its possible to inadvetenly enable data over 3G.

? Is there a way to permenantly disable 3G data traffic or other means to block data use, on telstra prepaid it eats credit like a hungry dog.

I spent ages looking at many settings but cant find anything that helps to stop data usage if inadvertently enabled.

Thanks,

For the Play store open the app then swipe from left to right to open a menu bar then select Settings then untick the top option ref notifications and turn off the option just below ref Auto update of apps, You will also or may wish to turn off Auto sync which will also be linked to Google and the Gmail app and any other apps that have an Auto sync option
