charging problem

i bought my sony xperia z1 compact last week, it has a problem in charging. It is already connected in charger but it is not charging. what im going to do?

Just wondering, are you charging through the USB port or magnetic cable, if the later will only work with a wall charger not a comptuer

I'm charging with a magnetic cable and a computer right now...

If you are using the magnetic connector (on the side), it can be a bit tricky to align correctly.

If you are using the USB connection (under the flap) then perhaps trying turning off the phone completely before you attempt to charge it. Normally, it shouldn't require turning off, but sometimes the phone can consume more energy than it receives from the charger and turning it off completly (long press on power button and then select "Power Off") can eliminate this scenario.

Also, some USB cables do not seem to be suitable for charging. Make sure you use the cable that was included with the phone.

That explain your issue, you are supposed to use a wall charger with the magnetic cable

With the right cable, you can charge the Z1 compact through the magnetic connector and a computer. I'm doing it all the time.

The problem is more likely the cable, not the fact that he is using a computer as the power source.

that's going to take forever to charge the phone, said that, it won't work with all computer's usb connectors
