Dimming video while playing .why ?!?

When I watch videos on Facebook it shows for about three seconds then goes dim like its going to sleep..i have to keep moving the screen to watch it in colour

Happens to me also. Only. On the version out of box though. Since the Facebook app has updated the issue has stopped. It also never did it when I watched a video in landscape mode.
