Hi,

My about month old XZ3 just died and now it won't start or charge. Before it died, it had 50% of battery capacity left and it worked perfectly.

I have removed SIM-card and memory card from their slot. I have tried to push volume up and power button for 120 sec, nothing. Charger works ok with my work phone, Sony XA2 so that is not seems to be the problem.

Do you guys have any ideas what to do, except to take it back to the seller?

Sounds like the battery is completely discharged. Could be that the charger you've used does not supply enough power to keep the phone alive during usage.

Try a different charger and a different cable, plug in the XZ3 and let it charge for 2 hours.

Then try again to start the phone.

Last option you could try:

Start your computer and open "Xperia Companion", select Software repair and tick the box with "my phone doesn't get recognized".

This will flash the firmware anew as long as the phone can go into the bootloader. This will help if the software broke due to whatever reason (software update maybe?).

If this doesn't work then your only option is to bring it back to your dealer, I'm afraid.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I did that already with Xperia Companion software. The phone stays dead. Back to the dealer it is.
