The camera of my Xperia XZ doesn't work at all

I have an XZ and since 2 days my cameras aren't working, neither the lintern. Sometimes pops up a box "Error! Camera not available!" Any suggestions on what might be causing this issue? Or anybody else having this issue/had this issue and knows of a fix? I had cleaned the app cache, restarted my phone as usual and on teh safe mode, and nothing worked... 😞 Any suggestion?

You can try a couple of steps to check your camera.

Go into the service menu by opening phone app and dialing *#*#SERVICE#*#*

go to service tests, and select main camera.

It will then show if the main camera is working.

I expect it won't show anything because you stated safe mode fails to work too, so I'd suggest backing it up and wiping it, then performing a full factory repair installation using Xperia companion.

If after this the camera fails to work, it will need a repair to the camera module.

Hi Jezzups, since you've tried safe mode already and it didn't work, you can try to force stop the camera and uninstall its updates from Settings - Apps - Camera. Also, make sure to allow all the permissions.
