Try to leave it charging a couple of hours and then try to turn it on with the power button and volume + at the same time. Greetings and I hope you relive your xperia.

I have been trying since yesterday to charge my phone. My battery was about 7% I put it on charge and left it. Came back to check the phone it had a red light flashing in the speaker and the phone would not turn on. I have tried to press th on/off button with the volume up + key to force shut down anything nothing happened. I put it on charge again for a number of hours only a red light flashing in the speaker and not charging. I tried Sony Companion to see if it lets me get into my phone so that I can back up my data thats not working aswell. I have had nothing but trouble with this phone. Anyone can help or advise???

I have found this in the manual:

Battery notification light status

Green

Battery is charging, charge level is greater than 90%

Orange

Battery is charging, charge level is 15-90%

Red

Battery is charging, charge level is less than 15%

The fact that the led is blinking could point to a loose connection.

It is a known problem from Xperia X that the fit of the USB port can be broken.

Try to manipulate the USB cord carefully to try if you can get the red led to light constantly.

If so you have found the problem.

Hi I have tried this.

The USB port is not damaged or broken in any form of way. I put the phone back on charge and this time no red light flashing and no charging sign at all.

Any other solution?

No light, no contact.

Try same cord on other phone and try other cord on your phone.

If it is OK on other phone then the connector in your phone is broken.

Take up contact with local Sony support.

Hi there have you manage to solve your problem because my sister has the same problem she got 40% battery life when her phone turns the sudden off, I already suggest the power button and +/- volume but she says nothing is working, hope we can help each other.. Good day👍🏻

Try this for those who doesn't work with power and volume button:

1) Turn your phone off with holding power button.

2) Connect your phone to a Laptop or PC with cable. Wait for 30 Sec.

3) Hold power button for 10-15 Sec.

Hope it work.
