Xperia 10 VI "Control from locked device" option issue

The latest update 70.0.A.3.169 has been installed.

And the "Control from locked device" option doesn't work.

In any state of this checkbox - I can open the notification panel on the locked screen and control the phone settings.

For example, I can switch the locked phone to airplane mode. This is a huge security hole!

The "Control from locked device" checkbox should disable the ability to access the notification panel. On other phones this is exactly how it works.

This problem exists on both XQ-ES54 and XQ-ES72 versions of the phone.

So it needs to be fixed, and not just given template advice on updating the software.

Hey @Konstont1n

Sometimes, some functions on the phone glitches after a software update, so try to do a software repair by the Xperia companion will reset the device and reinstall the update again (just make sure to back up your data first).

If it remained after that, you would need to contact Sony and let them know the issue so they can help either by an advice, or by an update

FYI: The option isn't related to the notifications panel. It has to do with smart devices connected to your account. It's very badly named, I agree.

@squerrl You can remove the Airplane icon from the notifications panel as an alternative way. Also, I'd recommend reaching out to Sony directly to investigate this issue.

Hi @squerrl, as I understood, the issue is that Control from locked device option therefore, they were afraid that someone can steal the phone and put it into airplane mode. My bad. In this case you can try reboot and safe mode and test if the issue is resolved.
