Sony Xperia Video Messenger

I've recently got the Sony Xperia 5 ii, and I seen to be having some issues whilst using video calling on messenger. Voice is delayed and sounds like a dalek, also picture is lagging and distorted. It can't be an internet problem (always strong signal) as I swap to using my Sony Xperia XZ which works fine with no issues. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

hello @JayPee74

have you tried to reinstall the app? make sure you have all the appropriate permissions enabled..

also try to run xperia test

settings>support>Xperia tests, to make sure the hardware is working fine.

I agree with @MarlonUk1

you can also eventually try to reset the device, through settings >> System >> Advanced >> Reset options >> Erase all data (factory reset)

@JayPee74 are you having similar issues when performing video calls through other services? if not, then it's most likely a Messenger issue that Facebook needs to know.about and fix it.
