Iv noticed that when im cycling through the phones ringtones, there seems to be a crackling noise just before the sound plays. similarly, this happens when im cycling through whatsapp sound settings too...

Iv resetted, used safe mode, software repair all with no luck. The problem doesnt happen when im listening to sportify though which is odd. If turned off all advanced audio settings aswell..

Its pretty annoying, so amped to have a new sony phone again only to be left with this annoying bug.

If anyone can shed any light on this id really appreciate it

Indeed I'm noticing it on my Xperia 1 as well.

More a tick or click like switching current off.

My advise: accept and continue with your life.

When you switch camera from Wide to 1x there is a mechanical sound.

This ring tone sound maybe is interesting for the developers.

Wait and see.

When they have picked up your post the ringtonesound might have disappeared in an upcoming software release.
