System UI has crashed and I want to send the phone back

my phone has crashed keeps saying ui as stopped working, have to send it back to sony, when i go onto repair it asks for my imei number cant turn my phone on to get it anyone have a solution please

you can find the IMEI number on the box or open the SIM tray and pull the white plastic with the IMEI info

Hi @mee2, I am very sorry to hear about that.

As mentioned above by @uliwooly, you can find the IMEI on a tray next to the SIM, click here for a image precising the location. It may also be found on the box of the device, or if you are able to enter Settings > About phone > Status > Information about IMEI code inside your device before it crashes.

However, if the System UI crashes, have you tried performing a software repair using Xperia Companion in order to see if that resolves what you're experiencing? I would recommend that you try that if you have the opportunity to do so, since it may save you a trip to an authorized service center.
