Dear forumusers,

Since 1 month I am a owner of a Sony Xperia Z3 Plus.
I have a couple of problems with the device.

* First of all, the heathing problem. Even while browsing the web, or using whatsapp, the device is getting really Hot (Like it is hard to keep the device in hands as it's getting really Hot.)

* Second the battery drains soooooo fast. When I don't use the phone it uses a lot of battery. Like 5-8 percent per hour. Which I don't think is normal when the screen is off. Not even talked about the battert drain when my mobile data (LTE) is on. Then it is getting absolutely horrible. That when I litteraly have a 3-4 bar connection.

* Also I mention the screenbrightness is changing over time (no I don't have the automatic brightness thingy on)

I have to mention that I got this device for free as it was a showmodel in our local phone shop. Could a reset fix these issues? Or maybe trying to repair the phone with PCC?

Thanks for your help.

Hey JoshuaMaurer, I agree with uliwooly, try the Z3+ in Safe Mode and see if that improves anything. For your first point with the phone getting hot even when you're just browsing the web, there's a chance it could be the CPU as the Snapdragon 810 was well known to get VERY hot even when not doing demanding tasks. I hope this helps.

Thanks both for the tips. @uliwooly when I check my signal strength it says the following: -83dBm 15 asu. I live in the Netherlands so I honestly have no idea if it will be the same in other country's. Some extra information about the LTE wich I forgot to mention is that sometimes when I have a solid 4 bar connection, it drops down to 0 bars for around 30 seconds. I think this is also happening when the screen is off which is causing the horrible battery drain. Any ideas on that?

If the signal is weak a temporary fix is to switch to 3G and see how that helps the battery.
