COMPATIBLE RECORDING MEDIA for XAVC S

I bought this card for my SONY ILCE-6000.(VERSION 2.00) to use the file format XAVC S - with the Sony 32GB MS PRO-HG DUO HX High Speed Memory Stick (MSHX32B/MN). The message when XAVC S is selected says 'it does not support this memory card' etc. This item is advertised as been 50MB/s. Can I find out the true speed and why my camera is not seeing the stick for movie recording but writes photos to it OK?

Hi Alan,

You need an Memory Stick XC-HG Duo or a SDXC Class 10 memory card to record XAVC S movies.

I would recommend using the second option as they're more common and not that expensive.
