WF-1000XM5 earbuds making random calls to contacts via my iPhone

Hello,

My iPhone makes random calls to my contacts (Thailand at 4am local time, and the person answered the call as they were worried that I had an emergency) while I was using my earbuds but I was nowhere near my phone.

How can I stop this happening? It happened again, and it called Apple support.

I feel I cannot use my earbuds until I have sorted this problem.

Is your iOS version up-to-date?

I realised that I was on version 3.1 so I have now updated to 3.3 ... so let us see if that works! I was on automatic updates but strangely it had not updated automatically. Thank you very much!
