Pairing MDR-XB80BS with a Mac

Hello, I keep trying to connect to my MDR-XB80BS headphones via Bluetooth on my Mac. It connects for 2 seconds then disconnects every time.

Anyone else run into this? Are these earbuds wholly incompatible with Macs? I notice the manual includes Windows pairing instructions but not Mac pairing instructions. If this is the case it would seem Sony could mention in the pairing article that these headphones don't work on Macs.
