Mex-N5100BT - Cannot disable OPEN APP Prompt

Hi there,

Have upgraded my firmware to the latest version (1700) but whenever, I turn on my car stereo in BT Audio mode, it brings up an OPEN APP prompt, which I do not want to see, as I do not want to use the Sony App. I can get rid of it by manually pressing the SRC button but I like to have the track title displayed and need to press the display button about 6 times

Is there anyway, I can keep my desired display ?

I have the same problem and don’t like it! Can’t figure out anyway to disable it! It’s really annoying!

Hi MkChabe,

I have resolved this problem by flasing my firmware to the latest version. Once I did this the OPEN APP prompt appears but only for a second and then it goes away. Are you sure you have upgraded to the latest firmware ?

The firmware I used (I have a MEX-N5100BT Car Stereo) was version 2000
