Trouble with speakers

Hi there

I hope that somebody can help me. Last year I bought a new TV (KD-75XG8096). I had an old Pioneer reciever that dont have ARC or any HDMI for that matter. Last week i bought a surround reciever - second hand. It is a Sony STR-DN1030. My issue is that whenever I turn on the system, it activates both the speakers attached to the reciever and also the TV´s internal speakers. On both TV and reciever I have set up Speakers to be on soundsystem. No mather if I use the remote for the reciever or TV or my Logitech Harmony it starts up with all speakers on.

Hi,

Did you set the speakers to "Audio System" in the sound settings?

It's also worth checking that you have Audio system Priority turned On (under Settings - Display & Sound - Audio System Priority).
