I can hear music being played through the turntable when it is not connected to any speakers. When i have my turntable connected up to my speakers (using line from the turntable, and RCA adapter) i can hear the turntable noise over the speaker. There is also a delay between the sound from the turntable to the sound from the speakers.

Hey AppleOrange, do you mean PHONO input jack, AUX input jack, or analog input jack for the audio device? Check page 12 for more info :

https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4748/54031a965b2a74816d8a777cbcedf263/47487553M.pdf

Hi Apple.

I'm guessing you mean the tinny sound coming from the needle - which is perfectly normal.

If you are hearing this teeny-tiny sound OVER that of the speakers, then I'm surprised!

Is the lid closed? If not, close it to block some of the sound.

Other than that, I guess you need to sit away from the TT and/or turn the volume up a bit.

It's normal, tho' - the needle has to vibrate according to the grooves...
