HDR-AS300 Stopped charging

It charged the day I got it, but it was not easy. Had to keep pluging it in/out until it finally worked. Now it won't charge at all no matter what I plug it into. When I plug it in, even to a wall socket, it goes into USB mode and doesn't charge.

I already threw out packaging and now have a $300 worthless piece of plastic. Way to go Sony.
