my dcsw380 cybershot, the memory card lock sign is displayed. i have refered to the manual, and using the system to unlock image, this will not unlock the memory card. Help please

Hi crichworks and welcome.

What make and type of memory card are you using?

If you are using a SD Card, this has a physical lock on the card itelf which needs sliding to unlock.

If you are using a Memory Stick, when and where did you buy it? Some older ones also have a physical switch: -

Hi @Violet19, welcome to the community.

Most memory cards have a sliding switch on the side, which acts as a lock and prevents data being written to it. The word 'Lock', along with an arrow, should be written alongside; you would obviously want to move the switch the opposite way to unlock the card.

Hopefully that fixes it.
