Cannot Upload by wifi to MacBook - RX100 vii

A newbie - forgive me.

RX100 vii send to Smartphone OK.

Will no send to my Macbook.

Set USB to Mass storage (then tried again with USB to Auto).

Wireless Auto Import: Set Computer when asked and set a storage location.

Tried to send photos to MacBook using wifi - send to computer option. Message is that device and location are not set, says to connect usb to computer and set.

But when I connected the message says cannot set device / location until I disconnect the USB cable.

I'm stumped.

I'm stuck.

Creators' cloud doesn't match.

Here is a compatibility list for Imaging Edge and Creators'cloud

How are you trying to send images to the macbook?

Transfer by wifi is supported with imagingedge mobile, not with desktop.

Many thanks - I can update to phone but haven't cracked uploading to MacBook. Play Memories does not support the version of OS I use - Big Sur .
