You've not given us much information..

Has it been a while since you used your reader.?

If so when the battery has been fully depleted it can take around 40 minutes before the connected to USB cable appears on the readers screen.

Is the red indicator light on.?

Are you charging using a laptop if so try connecting your laptop to AC power.?

Are you charging your Reader using a USB cable, if so is the cable connected straight into either the computer or laptop port.?

Sorry for the lack of info.

I use the reader every day, and I left it connected throughout the day to give plenty of time. The red indicator light is on. I am charging it through the usb straight to the computer.

I have also tried charging from a different computer but no charge also from an adaptor direct from power.

Sorry for the late reply..

I would say that your Reader may have developed a fault, I suggest that you contact Sony to arrange a repair.
