The cards can't be incompatible, the IEEE 802.11 b and a are standards.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think more and more that Sony has fuckoptimized the driver. That would explain why the original driver not works. here is the download site from Intel again.  &lt;A href="http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Support_Intel.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Support_Intel.aspx&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Or it's an hardware fault.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have 2 laptops one VAIO K215Z with Wirelss 54Mbps and another VAIO B1XP with wireless 54Mbps and it connects peer to peer only at 11Mbps,.. i changed the connection to 802.11g (54) but they still connect to 11mbs.. does anyone knows what to do..?&lt;BR /&gt;K215Z wireless is LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI Adapter&lt;BR /&gt;B1XP wireless is INTEL PRO 2200 IEEE 802.11b/g&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i never used an acces point to test them.. though in peer to peer they connect only at 11mb... &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you,&lt;BR /&gt;All the very best for all.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Maybe you must reconfigure the connection. There should be an option where you change between b/g , b, g standard. Set them to g, then is the support for b standard deactivatet. No idea. Windows can be really strange.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Delete them in the folder C:\drivers. Restart and install the driver from the Intelsite. It seems that the g-standard on your B1 not works.:smileyconfused:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Unless, sometimes opens the DOS-box for a short time. But is rare.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;If it would work then at the next restart my SONY NOTEBOOK SETUP should be in ALL PROGRAMS and that its not happeing.. anyways..&lt;BR /&gt;I fixed that by downloading the preinstalled drivers&lt;BR /&gt;the problem now is that i installed the drivers from INTEL for the WIRELESS CARD and i have the same problem&lt;BR /&gt;maybe are the drivers from the K21Z AS IEEE 802.11g &lt;BR /&gt;but i cant find any on internet... and i dont know whats the problem.. are those 2 wireless cards incompatible?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
