Welcome to Club Vaio. You need to clean your snakey system. Do a system restore to a time before the weekend. Rightclick my computer/properties/system restore. Defragment with all processes turned off except explorer and systray and that should fix it. Get this program trial versionhttp://tune-up.comand do all instructed. I suspect that your sound defaults have somehow been adjusted. Run the malcious software check from windows also latest version from Bill Gates(Microsoft)

Had a FS 115Z for 2 months and has been excellent until the weekend. It now runs very slowly and on start up when playing the windows jingle the speakers crackle. This continues when trying to playback tunes i have stored on the laptop. The quality of song playback either with WMP or WINAMP is very poor as the songs crackle and slow down and speed up. Any ideas ? I have run Norton Anti Virus and it hasn't picked up anything.
