DVD Tray won't open on first click [K215B]

Hello,
I have just recently [in the past 12 hours] found out my DVD Tray on my VAIO K215B doesn't open after clicking the button.

Scenario:
I hit the open button on the side, it "clicks" like it was going to open it, but it won't open up. Only on the odd occasion will it open up.
Is there an obvious fix to this problem? If there isn't the 12 month warranty is nearly up and i could take it back and get a refund and buy a better VAIO

hmmm, no idea. I have a similar problem sometimes, if I plug in the Power supply. It open the drive. LOL

have the same problem with my vaio too,it also makes funny noise cause its trying to open but doesnt.....gonna take it back as soon as i can.not always but lots of times the last month.
ive only had it for 2 months

I think you would be extremely hard pushed to get a refund for such a minor fault. It's much more likely that you would get the DVD drive replaced or fixed. Either way, they aren't cheap to fix so certainly make your enquiries while still under warranty.

Having it fixed ASAP is the best thing to do
