      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi all, i want to upgrade my k series vaio.&lt;BR /&gt;i have found out that i can upgrade the memory from 512k to 1024 by inserting an extra 200 pin sodimm 512k card am i correct?&lt;BR /&gt;i want to upgrade my hard drive from 40gb.&lt;BR /&gt;i have been told i can put in up to 100gb and i need a 2.5 inch hard drive is this correct?&lt;BR /&gt;i have seen a couple whilst browsing and the seagate and the toshiba look to be ok.&lt;BR /&gt;if i install either of these do i need to download any updates for my bios?&lt;BR /&gt;and help/suggestion or advice is much appreciated.&lt;BR /&gt;thanks in advance&lt;BR /&gt;reaper&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.lt/html/@AAA7E94E725A4CC5D7B5B3DCD17C62C3/images/smilies/072.png" alt=":devil:" title=":devil:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you have 512ram at the moment you want to make sure that you do not have 2x256mb chips because if you do you will need to buy 2x512mb chips to get 1024mb.Any notebook hard drive should fit fine and you wont need any updates.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
