First turn on the wireless switch on the front of your notebook ¿ the switch wireless devices dialog box should appear. Select the Bluetooth option and click OK.
Otherwise right click on the wireless icon in the system tray and select main dialog box.
Also the discoverability button in the XP Bluetooth Devices Control Panel won't be able to be switched on if you haven't first activated it in the Vaio Control Centre - the Vaio Control Centre icon can be found if you switch to "Classic View" once you're in the Control Panel.

Only a driver for use with WindowsXP SP2 is provided.

There should be a wireless-config icon in your icon tray. With it, you can enable/disable both WiFi as bluetooth. Make sure bluetooth is on.
