upgrading my laptop

Hi guys.

Hope you can help me here. Im using the VAIO FS115S LAPTOP, im trying to play some pretty demanding games on them. It just plays them but iwould like to increase the performance graphicly. Currently i am using 512mb RAM and the NVIDIA 128mb turbocache card. I know i can upgrade the ram to 1gb but can i upgrade the graphics card at all?

And is it worth upgrading the ram to increase graphical performance/ is it likely that upgrading the ram could cause problems with my laptop.

plez help.

maybe I didn't understand your post: but if this is a memory allocation problem for the nvidia card this could be related to the drivers used.
dunno if this can help, but I've seen most of the problems are related to nvidia drivers: wait for the latest version maybe can help.
I.e. under linux there's not turbocache support at all for the 6200 Go with TC.

Your machine will run smoother with 1GB. You can't change the graphics card but it's an easy overclock.

Go to Crucial Crucial and get their system scan assessment. I don't think you can upgrade your graphics card and besides it will get too hot on board if you go to a Radeon 256m. Just turn your graphics settings down to medium or low and increased your RAM but I wouldn't overclock a laptop it will fry it. Only do that on desktops.

i dont really wnt to overclock its not worth the risk of fryin

No, but the performance of the system itself.

The graphic is still the same.

for RAM, I've just upgraded my VAIO A417M with a 1GB stick for £106.00, giving a total 1.25GB RAM. When I asked about this upgrade from the supplier of the note book they wanted £400! btw I now a spare 256MB stick if anyone would like to make an offer for it??
