I¿ve installed the driver for this adaptor successfully. So when I try to download data from an Leica datalogger which has a 9 pin serial connection and I run the software on the notebook (used for all leica dataloggers) and try to select `Com Ports¿ I get the message `No Com Ports Installed¿ in the software¿do you think it will only work with a REAL 9 pin com port? I haven¿t called up the manufacturer of datalogger cos I thought maybe something is wrong with my pc. I am using windows xp. I needed virtual com port for some software to work. I downloaded this program: <A href="http://www.eltima.com/products/vspdxp/" target="_blank">Virtual Serial Port</A> which emulates com ports.
