HOW CAN I INCREASE GRAPHIC CARD RAM(INTEL 915) FOR FS215B

HI EVERYBODY

I HAVE VAIO FS 215B CENTRINO 1.73
AND INTEL 915G/ML (WHATEVER LIKE THIS )
512 MB RAM
AND THAT CARD CAN BE 128 MB (SHARED)
ALSO STILL USES 8 MB

HOW CAN I ADJUST TO 64 OR 128 MB

CAN YOU HELP ME TO SETUP VIDEO CARD MEMORY

I TRIED (BIOS MAINTAIN) THAT BUT THERE IS NO OPTION TO CHANGE GRAPHIC CARD S MEMORY ..

ANY ALTERNATE TO SOLVE THAT ?

Same problem on a VGN-FS215E!
Shared Memory is at 8 MB and not changable.
Bios offers no option to change it.

your vaio notebook has 64MB dedicated memory, this means that the Graphics Chip has 64Mb memory of its own, and it has an other 64Mb dynamic memory, which can be taken from the 512MB memory which the vaio contains,
if you are running heavy graphical applications, the vaio automatically uses some of the "standard" memory as video memory, so your vaio is using 64MB video memory and 512MB "normal" memory when you are working in a non graphical environment, and 128MB video memory and 448MB "normal" memory in Graphical environments

It's nothing to worry about, when you load a game the graphics card will take the extra 56MB of ram from the system so you will have 128MB, at the moment it isn't needed because 64MB+8MB is more than enough to run windows.

for mine is FS115S [:">]
with NVidia GeForce Go 6200 TurboCache supporting 128MB
i play GTA on it without any hang also i play Tribles too this need 128 or higher with high graphic [:P]
i love my lappie [:">]
my ram is 512 ! really really enough for me ! because my VGA is not Shared !!

half true,

96MB are shared. The other 32MB are real VRam.
