vaio updates

is it wise to download all of the vaio updates for your notebook?
im new to vaio and i dont realy know if all of the updates are necessary:smileyconfused:

i see in lots of threads there are problems after someone updated something from vaio

Yes, I'd say it is, but if you know for certain you don't need the update then don't bother with it.

Specially don't bother with firmwares and BIOS updates if your VAIO is working well.

I'd rather say it's better not to update nothing if it gives no problems. Last time I tried to update video drivers from vaio-link I got misfunction of USB keyboard plus a bit of another small but unpleasant problems.

Zina, Keep a copy of all the updates on your D drive so if you need to recover 'C' it is all there ready to install. I have had no problems with any of the updates except the ATI 19 meg update. It wouldn't install so I got one from the ATI website after checking which one I needed for my card. Logically they are updates so they would have to be bug fixes and improve general performance

Or get a ghosting tool and make your PC to the requirements you need then make an image
