They have practically the same model number PCGA_AC19V wheareas the newer one is PCGA_AC19V3.<BR /><BR />Doesn't look like it was any major upset, thanks for your replies.<BR /><BR />In the meantime, while the VAIO is a gorgeous machine, I have tired of both Windows and machines deliberately crippled by Sony and have bought myself an iMAC G5.
