Hi all

newbie with stupid questions

I have the above model absolutley love it but being a bloke and enjoying the idea of tinkering i made the mistake of crashing my vaio:(:(

Tried to resolve problem by reinstalling xp pro (couldn't find originals HID put them safe:)

when reinstalled wouldn't recognise any drivers so tried sony support but still would'nt download them.

so installed vista 32bit found monitor p'n'p but not sound .

finally paid to get clean install by pro worked a treat but

cannot get viewing area to fill screen 20" seems to only be 17" and cannot get any higher than 1024x768 in settings.

have looked for correct driver but still cannot find it can anyone help?

It's not clear which Operating System you are using now - XP or Vista. If you let us know I'm sure we can find a Graphics Driver.

OOPs sorry:)

it has vista ultimate on it now as wont recognise original recovery disks:(

Does anyone know if i can upgrade this computer have already installed ram to 2gb but am looking at improved graphics card if possible:):)
