Hello

I have a new vpcj12m0e all in one. I have updated windows and VAIO software using the various updaters. The PC is now running sluggishly which is very disappointing for a new PC. Particular moments seem to be when programs access the file system, but I get quite a lot of inactivity and programs going to a not reposnding mode, only to come back to life after a wait of some seconds/minutes. Task manager doesn't show unusual CPU loading or memory usage, nor even disk access from what I can tell.

Anyone experienced the same?

Mark

Mine is a VGCRT2SY all-in-one, but yes I am experiencing exactly the same issue. Just running the VAIO hardware diagnostics - no problem found so far although the hard disk test is taking for ever.

I've also run some software from reimage (PC Repair Online) - it finds no problem except ir reports that the temperature of the CPU is 81 degress Centigrade which is "Dangerously High". Fan seems to be OK. Not sure whether this is really a problem. The computer is definitely quite hot.

Message was edited by: nickmaestro
