i would not recommend the US site for Bios update though unless it is a US model

hi folks....

just wondering... is it me, or is it sony. finding a support page with drivers or updates on a sony site is kind of "in thru the out door"... on most other vendor sites it is no problem finding their drivers or update pages... but with sony its like, first you need to give us your fingerprints and then we have to take a DNA sample... oh we also have to do a facial...!!! and then we will give a hint to were you might find what you are looking for...!!! i mean be for real sony... you are not the government.... ease-up...!!!

or is it just me, myself and I... the way I look at things...??????

you are probably right... it is not worth the extra... but what if there are other functionalities to be discovery... where SONY thought, lets build a new model instead of telling the people that you already have it.

No Joe, I agree with you, it's quite a mamouth task to get drivers from Sony, which is rather annoying.

If you can navigate the FTP (LOL THATS A JOKE)

The driver download pages are not really comprenhensive

i don't like to bitch all the time neither... but if sony keeps advertising that they are one of the best and then gives you the bend-over feeling after you bought the product!!! I will not stop to rebel until they start changing their habits towards honest customers!!!

now let me find a thread were i can offer some help... instead of bitching all the time!!

The USA Sony site seems much more relaxed about downloads.

The only problem is that you need to find out the equivelant USA model number.

Not too difficult because you can check out the specs of each model there and as with here tend to be series specific rather than model specific.

I am running a USAgrx700 bios on my upgraded GRX316MP.

Obviously,make doubly sure for Bios files, drivers can be undone but not so with the Bios.
