Linux Mandrake 10.0/9.2 on PCGGRT916Z

Hi all,
I'm trying to install the Linux Mandrake 10.0 on my PCG GRT916Z

It freezes on material detection (hda, hdc lost interupt ).

My last Vaio worked very well under the same linux distrib.... (GRV616G), reason why I bougt a vaio again.(ok, for the big screen too).

If anyone has a glue of what's going on, or know a linux distribution that actually work with this laptop, or just know where I could look for it.

I did..... but with no success.

I checked several alternate configuration, with no answer

Ok, A _big_ thank you.

I cheked the list again, and found the obvious "linux noapic" command on the install screen.

I'm ashamed I did not figured this out myself.
