Dear VAIO Family,

Hope you all doing well, I need assistance on this complications that I ran into, hope anyone of you can help me on it.I own Sony VPCSB16FA laptop & my PC technician has installed Windows 7 "Ultimate" instead of "Home Premium" & now I am having trouble activating windows on it, Any help on the matter would be highly appreciated.

I just migrated to a new country & going back to reinstall windows is gonna be difficult.

Hello @AsifJ560,

this issue has nothing to do with the device but with the Windows version the technician installed.

Windows 7 ultimate costs more than home&premium and therefore your key won't work with the wrong version installed.

Kindly check the microsoft support forums for help.
