Hi, my pc does not detect DVD drive.

In System Manager I see: "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

The name of the object has not been found""

Is there a solution?

The simplest solution is a USB External Player, but you can also try an OS reset. Difficult to guide you to a different solution when hardware is involved.

Try deleting the Upperfilters and the Lowerfilters which are often corrupted and cause error code 39.

Hey jabieron, If the steps the users above me mentioned didn't work, and since there are no more drivers online, I recommend sending it to Sony's authorised service centre.
