    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are different sorts of DVI - have a look at the selection at the bottom of this post.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think you have a DVI-D port on your graphics card so any cable with additional pins around the flat blade connector Like DVI-I or DVI-A will not fit.  These extra pins carry analogue data in addition to the DVD-D digital data.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;DVI-D male cables will plug into DVI-D and DVI-I sockets but (as you have probably found) DVI-I cables will not plug into DVI-D sockets.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think you will find you need a DVI-D cable.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi everyone,&lt;BR /&gt;i purchsed above desktop few years ago and fortunately it is still going strong after all these years.i only upgraded ram to 2gb.&lt;BR /&gt;i just purchased a tv/monitor with dvi connection.the cable bundled with monitor doesn't fit the computer.(the cable flat connections both ends).can any one advice me what cable i need and where i can buy it.&lt;BR /&gt;thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;belgrave&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
