Windows Updating

Hi all

I have a VPCEH2NE

I updated my windows 1 month ago but after restarting the Laptap I received message shows that (Windows can not install important update). I tried again to upload but still showing the message.

Ive searched everywhere but couldn't solve the problem.

Could you please help me.

Hi ibrahimgloi,

Can you let us know which updates failed to install?

Open Windows Update > View Update History, and look for ‘failed’ under status.

the faild update are:

1- Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2732500) / Installation date: ‎04/‎09/‎2012 10:00 / Installation status: Pending/Error details: Code 80242014

this error still in update history from 05/02/2012 till todya when I updated as you can see above.

2- Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2620704) / Installation date: ‎05/‎01/‎2012 01:10 /Installation status: Failed / Error details: Code 80246007 / Update type: Important

repited all time till today

3- Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243)

Installation date: ‎05/‎01/‎2012 01:10 / Installation status: Failed / Error details: Code 80070002 / Update type: Important

agian is sitll faild

4- Security Update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB2617986) / Installation date: ‎05/‎01/‎2012 01:10 / Installation status: Failed / Error details: Code 80070002 / Update type: Important

agian is sitll faild

5- Cumulative Security Update for ActiveX Killbits for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2618451)

Installation date: ‎05/‎01/‎2012 01:10 / Installation status: Failed / Error details: Code 80246007 / Update type: Important

agian is sitll faild

6- Microsoft Browser Choice Screen Update for EEA Users of Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB976002)

Installation date: ‎18/‎08/‎2012 19:26 / Installation status: Failed / Error details: Code 80071A90/ Update type: Important

I suggest you start by trying the update troubleshooter.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter

If that fails to resolve the problem then try installing one update at a time followed by a reboot.
