Vaio VGN-AR61S Can't get my internal microphone to function.

My VGN-AR61S laptop is not on the list of Sony notebooks supported for Windows7. However, it is a 64 bit machine and I have succesfully installed Win7 operating system, which has improved the performance dramatically, though I did have some issues with soundacr and card reader not working. I have been able to resolve these issues by downloading drivers from the original suppliers websites, such as Realtec and with updated intel chipset drivers, and WinDVD from Corel

Althougn my sound is working well, I cannot get the internal microphone to work. I beleive this is just a software driver issue as all other functions of the sound on my PC are working In Control Panel/Sound and in Device Manager, the microphone is listed with a Generic icrosoft Hi Definition Audio Device, and I think I need a specific driver

Can anyone tell me what company is the manufacturer of the Microphone and what driver I need to get it working?

Thanks
